7 Week Old Portraits A more formal approach this week! We really like how these puppies are looking.
Week 8 has been flying by. Teva has really started to play with her puppies a lot and Lupine enjoys playing with them too. Cava and Tinbie get to interact with the puppies, although we have to keep a close eye on them to make sure things don't get too rambunctious!  This sort of play is an important part of learning canine social skills. The puppies continue to grow and eat more and more.... They now go through about 7lbs of food a day between them! Our freezers are emptying rather rapidly! 

Teva has been coming on all of our regular walks and swims and is very playful with our older dogs as well. Until the last few days, it has been quite hot so we've been spending a lot of time in the river.

On Friday, Maureen Cogut came down and did the temperament testing for us. The puppies all tested really well, which didn't surprise us too much!  They all now love to retrieve and we try to spend some one-on-one time with each puppy, which usually involves a few retrieves. It also helps us to get to know the character of each puppy a bit better. The puppies are all happy to retrieve anything and everything and we got some neat photos of them retrieving sunflowers and poppies!

They love the wading pool and are hopping in and out of it on hot days. We are hoping for warmer weather next week so that we can take them to the river!
